The COTPMCO is excited to announce the 9th Annual COTPMCO in the City of Buda, TX March 2-5, 2022.   Year after year, the City of Buda has welcomed us with open arms and provided top notch hospitality and we can't wait to be back there in 2022!   While we will still have PPE onsite and frequent cleanings of our space in 2022 we are planning to be open to the public again!!

n 2020 the COTPMCO squeaked by just before the COVID 19 shut downs, in fact, several vendors and volunteers weren't able to attend Friday/Saturday but all of the competitors stuck around and competed.  The event was a success and we are so grateful for the continued support.  In 2021 we were the FIRST event back in the swing of things even though it looked a little different then years past.  Great to see some normalizing as we move toward our 2022 planning.

All funds raised will be awarded to our forever-beneficiary, The Sunshine Kids Foundation.  (75% ) and a secondary beneficiary (25%) for the 9th Annual COTPMCO was selected through an application process by the COTPMCO Board of Directors.  Congratulations to TEXSAR f (Texas Search and Rescue) or being selected to receive 25% of the 2022 proceeds!

The Sunshine Kids Foundation has been involved in COTPMCO since 2015 and we are honored to work with them again to make a small difference in the lives of children with cancer.

COTPMCO is a combined effort between seven local Law Enforcement Agencies, each one plays an important role in overall organization and success of the annual event.

Over the last eight years the COTPMCO has donated over $157,000 to various non profit organizations, officer assistance programs and fallen officer organizations.  We are so humbled by the continued community, competitor and sponsor support!

EVENT HISTORY

In 2014, the Travis County Sheriff’s office, along with partnering agencies from Williamson, Travis and Hays Counties, hosted the inaugural COTPMCO in Buda, TX. The event was a huge success thanks to the hours of work put in by the law enforcement agencies, incredible support by sponsors and vendors and a great showing of 60+ motorcycle cops from 20+ agencies from Texas and Louisiana. Spectators came out by the hundreds to watch the officers compete, enjoy the exhibitor show, watch jaw dropping stunt riders, check out motorcycles and talk with officers. After three full days of events and community support, we raised $20,000 to be donated to the Wounded Warrior Project and the Center for Child Protection.

Through an outpouring of support and a little marketing, the 2nd Annual COTPMCO grew to 85 motorcycle cops from 27 agencies, representing eight different states. New events were introduced and a new Mr. Rodeo structure was put in place. The new structure was well received and carried over to subsequent years. Over the past seven years, COTPMCO has raised over $157,000 to donate to various charities and causes. Moving into the 8th year COTPMCO has hosted as many as 165 riders during a single year and had the privilege of accommodating riders from 23 different states and Canada. Through heat, humidity and random rain the men and women have competed in multiple events now spread over a four day period full of training and excitement, all free to spectators. None of this would be possible without the continued support and loyalty be everyone involved.

As the event continues to grow, we are humbled by the support we have received and thank all of the competitors, volunteers, staff members, directors, sponsors, exhibitors and the City of Buda.

SPONSORS & EXHIBITOR INFO

The COTPMCO has grown over the past seven years through loyal competitors, sponsors, volunteers and partnering agencies. Year after year, we continue to see so many familiar faces coming back to participate in the competition for a cause and the loyalty is humbling.

Our goal remains the same - provide excellent training to motor officers, develop a solid network among the motors for continued support and growth long after the event concludes. The catch is - we do it all with charitable giving in mind. Over the past five years, we have donated over $157,000 to various non-profit organizations, officer support organizations and fallen officer funds. This effort is only possible with your continued support.

Our 2022 dedicated partnering agencies include:  Buda Police Department, Hays County Sheriff’s Office, Kyle Police Department, Round Rock Police Department and Travis County Sheriff’s Office.

We look forward to partnering with you to make the 9th Annual Capital of Texas Police Motorcycle Chute Out a success!  More info to come!
